About Currency Offline
Currency Offline is made by ObscuraCode Ltd, a small app studio in London, United Kingdom. The app was first released on the App Store on April 28, 2026. It is available for iPhone and iPad as Currency Offline, and for Android as Currency Offline Converter on Google Play.
How the app works
Rates come from our rate server and are saved on your phone. Open the app once while online to download the full rate set. After that, every conversion is calculated on the device, including in airplane mode or with roaming off. While online, the app refreshes rates every 4 hours. You can also tap refresh yourself.
The rate line under the keypad shows the rate and when it was fetched. When saved rates are more than 24 hours old, a banner suggests refreshing them. The calculator keypad lets you add amounts, work out percentages and divide a bill while seeing the result in two currencies.
Free and Premium
The free version converts one pair: your phone's region currency and the US dollar, or US dollar and euro if your region's currency is the dollar. It includes the calculator, offline use and automatic refresh, with a banner ad.
Premium is sold as a monthly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase through the App Store or Google Play. It provides all 170+ fiat currencies and 45+ cryptocurrencies, currency search, favorites and conversion history, and removes ads. Store prices appear in your currency before you buy.
